"It has been pure driving bliss"
I test drove a number of different cars - from compacts to turbo mid-sizes - during the summer of 2000. While driving past the Toyota dealership, I noticed one of those "electric cars" I'd heard about. I stopped, looked under the hood, and talked a little with the dealer. That led to a VERY good test drive, which then turned into an all-night web-research session (most PRIUS/hybrid sites were in Japanese back then ... !). I finally took the plunge and ordered my own Prius in August, and it arrived in November. It has been pure driving bliss ever since.
Now, after 80,000 trouble-free miles, I still love Love LOVE my PRIUS! I am jealous of those who bought the upgraded model (2004 & after), but I nonetheless plan on running my current model into the ground - if that's even possible! - and then having a great many more earth-friendlier cars to choose from.
Thank you, Toyota ... I LOVE MY PRIUS!
