My 2004 Prius is my second favorite way to get around (after my kayak - shown on top), but it is much more practical. I bought my Prius because of the environmental benefits, but I also enjoy saving money at the gas pump. I love that the gas engine turns off when it's not needed. I have not found any sacrifice in performance or utility. I can fit a lot of stuff in (and on) this car! The only improvement I can think of would be to have a non-touch screen access to the climate controls (beyond the temp controls on the steering wheel). I find the touch screen a cumbersome way to adjust the heat/ac.
