Global climate change poses a significant threat to the environment, the natural resources, the economies, and the human welfare of the Great Lakes and the lands surrounding them. Fortunately, we have the knowledge and resources to address this problem. There are simple, practical solutions to global warming and its effects in the Great Lakes region. The Solutions where we Live feature displays examples of actions we can take today to prevent the worst climate change impacts from happening and to minimize the impacts we can no longer avoid. Many of these actions have additional benefits for society as well.
